OSHA Outreach rules cap training at 7.5 hours per calendar day for every course. OSHA 10 (10 hours) therefore needs at least 2 days. OSHA 30 (30 hours) is 30 ÷ 7.5 = 4 days minimum — it cannot be finished in 1–3 days. The temporary certificate is issued the day you pass. The DOL plastic card typically arrives 5 weeks after that pass date.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction expands the Outreach program from awareness to supervisory depth under 29 CFR 1926. Required topics include managing safety and health, the Focus Four at greater technical resolution, foundations, cranes and rigging awareness, excavations, concrete and masonry, confined spaces in construction, fire protection, welding, and additional electives authorized by the Outreach trainer. Thirty contact hours cannot be compressed below the 7.5-hour daily federal Outreach ceiling, so completion spans a minimum of four calendar days. Passing remains 70 percent with three retake attempts. Award is 3.1 IACET CEUs. Completers receive a printable temporary certificate and the DOL OSHA 30 Construction plastic wallet card by mail. This standard edition is for jurisdictions that do not require active proctoring. New York City supervisor SST tracks and many owner specs require the actively proctored OSHA 30 Construction course instead.
